- 2024 Rezvani Beast Is An All-American Bulletproof Hypercar With Zany Optional Extras
by Gerhard Horn Reveal / 21 Comments
How many hypercars can be ordered with a smoke screen and pepper spray dispenser?
- Carbon fiber body
- 1,000 hp mid-engine twin-turbo V8
- Designed, engineered, and made in the USA
- 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds
- Limited to 20 examples
- Starting price of $485,000
Rezvani, the makers of absolutely bonkers SUVs, has unveiled its first-ever hypercar, and it's as wacky as you'd expect. The armored car maker has effectively combined what it knows best with the otherwordly performance of a hypercar, and the result is known as the Beast.
The Beast is made of lightweight aerospace-grade carbon fiber (also used to make Formula 1 cars) and is powered by a 6.2-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 1,000 horsepower in Beast Mode. All of that power is sent to the rear wheels via Tremec's eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Because of its lightweight construction, the Beast only weighs 2,980 pounds. That's light enough to land it on our list of the lightest cars on sale in America.
The obvious benefit of massive power and low weight is staggering performance. Rezvani claims a 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 9.6 seconds. That's mighty impressive for a rear-wheel drive car.
Dragon Wing Exterior
The Beast comes standard with a Targa top. You can enjoy the wind in your hair while enjoying the noise from that V8 engine. And it makes a lovely noise, as you can hear in the video below.
The styling is quite unique, but there is a bit of modern Ferrari in there. The thin, hidden LED lights give a Ferrari SF90 vibe, but it's far from an exact copy. The rear has a bit of Aston Martin Vantage, but the stacked exhausts are unique. The only other car with this feature is the Lexus IS 500.
Because the engine sits behind the seats, there's a rather nifty frunk, which looks big enough for two soft bags.
Our favorite design feature is the dihedral doors, which Rezvani calls Dragon Wings. Why? Because it sounds cooler than dihedral, and, trust us on this, it's the least wacky thing about this car.
Driving It Is A Yoke
Rezvani says the interior is race-inspired, but you get some comfort features. It comes standard with a head-up display with the most vital information, a touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bose sound system, and black leather seats and interior trim.
The yoke steering wheel was inspired by Formula 1. You can see what Rezvani is on about with the toggle switches, but it's still nowhere near as complex as an actual F1 steering wheel. You can also see the apparent military aircraft inspirations.
"Growing up on the base at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and watching my father fly the F-4 Phantom, I was mesmerized by the power and beauty of military fighter jets and military vehicles", said Ferris Rezvani, CEO of Rezvani Motors.
Unheard Of Optional Extras
It's safe to say the Rezvani has the kind of optional extras you don't expect. You can spec a car like the Koenigsegg CC850 and Pagani Utopia in the exact color and leather combination you want, but you can't order them with an optional Bullet Proof Package. Yup, that's right. you can get this car with a bulletproof body and glass.
But the best optional extra of all is the 007 Package. This adds every feature a dashing spy or average Florida Man might need on a road trip. The entire list of 007-related features includes:
- Smoke Screen
- Pepper Spray Dispenser
- Military Runflat Tires
- Thermal Night Vision System
- Electromagnetic Pulse Protection
- Optional explosive device detection
- Electrified Door Handles
- Siren and Horn Options
- Blinding Lights
- Intercom System
- Magnetic Dead Bolts
- Gas masks
- First Aid kit
- Hypothermia kit
- Strobe Lights
Price And Competition
Rezvani didn't provide the pricing for the optional extras, but how can you order this car without the 007 gadgets? Production is limited to 20 units, and the price starts at $485,000. Believe it or not, the Beast is a bargain. It's more exclusive than the Pagani and Koenigsegg we mentioned, and they retail for $3.6 million and $2.5 million, respectively.
No release or production date was mentioned, but the online configurator is already live.
